«Incensum does not literally convey kōdō, but creates an olfactory bridge between the cultures of Asia and the Middle East. To honor these cultures, I combined spices and resins like frankincense and myrrh with dark wood notes loved by the samurai, shoguns, sheikhs and genjitsars.»
