This fragrance captures the essence of a sailor crossing a stormy sea. It carries a razor-like metallic feel, an ozonic quality that evokes the cold winds of a storm and a dark, mysterious depth that evokes the abyss of the sea. Although fresher and more transparent than other fragrances in the collection, the indiscriminate DNA of my dramatic character and animalic iris strongly influence and shape this unique creation.

The fragrance has a contemplative dimension, it is fresh but at the same time complex and dramatic.

How Mariner's Rhyme was born:
For my signature lovers, the animal theme I love comes back, albeit more subtly. The animalistic note in this composition is grey amber. The fragrance also has a transparency and brightness that sets it apart from my early creations.

My relationship with the sea is expressed through some references that are dear to me: the sacred sense of drama in S.T. Coleridge's “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, the epic adaptation by Iron Maiden, but especially the mysterious, emotional, contemplative, experimental and iconic instrumental song “Sailor's Tale” from King Crimson's “Islands” album.

It is a fresh and transparent unisex fragrance on one side and dense and structured on the other. The citrusy and ozonic opening has a lively and modern character, enhanced by the sharpness of the aldehydes. We are at sea, but there is a hint of orange blossom in the background coming from the mainland.
The salty amber and the metallic aldehydic element combined with the mossy oak recall the taste of oyster shells, as well as the dark depths of the sea.
The transparency of the ozone sound is transformed into a more opaque and dense symphonic tone, thanks to the iris, which gives it an almost sacred and mysterious character, underlined by the elemi and incense.
